Hiking and walking enthusiasts will be delighted to discover the long Cap Circuit in the town of Barneville-Carteret. You’ll likely fall under the spell of our neighboring coastal town and its stunning landscapes during your weekend in La Manche.

The 9.7 km Cap Circuit

The Cap Circuit offers a coastal hiking trail rated Easy, stretching over 9.7 km. With 2.5 to 3 hours of walking, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the seaside resort from a new angle along a marked path. You’ll cross through the town with, on one side, panoramic views of the famous perched dunes resting on cliffs, and on the other, an exceptional view of the sea — perfect for enjoying Normandy’s natural beauty.

The starting point is at the Place Flandres-Dunkerque parking lot, just a 12-minute drive from Les Voiles de Portbail, our restaurant, and our aparthotel.

Must-See Stops Along the Way

During your walk, you’ll come across some truly beautiful spots. These typically Manche landscapes, considered sensitive natural areas, are impressive for their character and flora (the Hatainville Dunes, the village of Le Tôt, ...).

To discover these wonders of La Manche, the team at Les Voiles de Portbail — bar, restaurant, and rental apartments in the Cotentin — invites you to stay in our fully equipped suites of 28 to 30 m² in Port-Bail-sur-Mer.

Our team is, of course, available to advise you on other nearby tourist attractions close to our seaside hotel.
